Walkability Within our Community

  • Improved safety and enjoyment for our walking and cycling neighbors
  • Comprehensive plan to change motorist and pedestrian behavior
  • Reducing vehicle emissions by encouraging walking, cycling or public transportation
  • Encourage use of public transportation for community to reduce traffic
  • Comprehensive audits of neighborhood safe-crossings, driver visibility and sidewalk access
  • Continue to advocate efforts statewide to change legislation on the ability for police to enforce speed through radar detection

 Fiscal Responsibility

  • Maintenance investment in current facilities and infrastructure before investing in new
  • Long-term fiscal planning including saving for capital projects rather than short-term debt
  • Improve our municipal bond rating by reducing use of unassigned funds
  • Closely monitor municipal budgets in order to maintain taxes at current level

Economic Development

  • Support our local businesses by ensuring our commercial districts are active, attractive, and walkable
  • Continue communication with private property owner, Zamagias, to develop unused land at Washington and Bower Hill Roads
  • Initiate an effort to audit and improve the infrastructure of Cochran Road business district

Other Important Issues I’ll Continue to Advocate

  • Top priority investment in our public services – police, fire and emergency medical
  • Correct storm water issues by improving infrastructure in various problem areas including Greenhurst/Cedar and Washington Road near Galleria
  • Continue to invest in current parks and renovate our neglected parks including Robb Hollow
  • Support and advocate our community’s need to preserve our history through an expanded history center for the Mt. Lebanon Historical Society
  • Continue to advocate efforts to recognize veterans in our community through the Mt. Lebanon Veterans Committee
